Definitions become part of the fabric of our society, family lives, culture, conversation, gifts, joys, sorrows, struggles, triumphs. As Passover and Easter approach, our shop is effected by these days and all their meanings to all our different clientele.
Passover: (AKA Pesach) is the springtime holiday observed by Jewish people everywhere on the date when G‑d took the Jewish people out of Egypt. It lasts for eight days (seven days in Israel), during which no bread, or anything that contains grain that has fermented, is to be consumed or even owned.
Easter: also called Pascha (Greek, Latin) or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day after his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD. It is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus, preceded by Lent(or Great Lent), a 40-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.
We are defining with design it in our own way. We are celebrating this Spring and the upcoming holidays with anthurium. They are beautiful, long lasting, bright, and say something.
Come, gather, and pick up your own anthurium for spring. The days are getting longer...let's enjoy every last minute.
PS Remember to order a host/hostess gift for delivery or come in and build your own. Treats, florals, home goods, and local goods are all on hand.
