Bosom Buddies of Arizona was founded in 1982 by five women in the advertising and communications industry in Phoenix. Founder, Dee Courtwright-Smoot, promised if she lived through her battle with breast cancer she would do “something” to help other women and men with the same diagnosis. At the time there was very little information available on breast cancer and no one spoke openly about it.

Bosom Buddies of Arizona provides information, resources and support for individuals and families going through breast cancer.
