Join us for an immersive, hands-on floral workshop dedicated to one of the most transformative skills in floral design: scale. Led by our Head of Events, Sarah, this class explores the mechanics, structure, and intentional design choices behind creating large-scale arrangements inspired by the opulent floral paintings of 17th-century Dutch masters.
Working with premium seasonal blooms and foliage, you'll create our modern interpretation of a classic Dutch arrangement—abundant, dramatic, and rich with movement. Along the way, you'll learn the "why" behind the techniques professional florists rely on every day. From floral foam and tape grids to chicken wire armatures and vessel selection, this workshop goes beyond design theory and dives into the structural foundations that make large-scale arrangements successful.
Sarah will guide you through creating a statement piece while sharing practical insights on scale, proportion, flower placement, and mechanics selection. Whether you're a growing designer or a seasoned florist looking to refine your technique, this class is designed to strengthen your understanding of both artistry and engineering.
