Native to Central Mexico, the Mexican Fence Post is most commonly used today for landscaping and is valued as an accent, specimen, or character plant in arid, tropical landscapes. It is also useful to build an effective windbreak barrier. Prized for its low maintenance and low water needs, it is easy to grow.
