(Henri Fantin-Latour Self Portrait/ Public Domain)
He was born Ignace Henri Jean Théodore Fantin-Latour in 1836. We know him today as Henri Fantin-Latour the artist who captured other Parisian artists and writers and our first love: florals. Despite his relationship with the Impressionists, he remained loyal to his conservative style and faithful to the Masters hanging in the Musée du Louvre. His paintings reflect the study of still life that escapes so many in their field.

Just a reminder on a Monday that inspiration is not always new. Sometimes we need the voices of the Masters to move forward.
