Thanksgiving is here.

We are open 8AM-12PM on Thanksgiving day to pick up your centerpieces or hostess/host gifts. But, beat the rush and come in beforehand to select gifts and order for delivery. We know sometimes these things are the last on your list, so we are open for a few hours the day of to make sure everything on your list gets crossed off before joining your loved ones.  Please call to order or order online at anytime by Wednesday for pick up. Fall // Black Wing

We have been preparing for the holidays and embracing the fall around the shop. Our favorite days are not just the delivery of local flowers, but when a new product is added to the front of the shop. This week the Blackwing pencil became part of repertoire for artists, writers, and lists enthusiast. Here's some background on what became known as the "Forty Dollar Pencil":  "Legendary Grammy, Emmy, Pulitzer and Academy Award winners have created with the Blackwing 602 pencil. The list of known users includes John Steinbeck, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein and Chuck Jones who proudly used Blackwings to create Bugs Bunny and many other Looney Tunes characters. Blackwing’s roots go back to the 1930’s when the 602 model was first introduced...

Dahlia and van Gogh

In his hometown, Vincent van Gogh is honored at the beginning of each fall with a parade of flowers. Inspired by his work and life, the hamlet of Zundert explodes with one of our favorites that blooms in the fall - the dahlia.  On the 125th anniversary of this death this year, 50,000 spectators gathered to see the floats using flowers grown in the area specifically for the parade. Can you imagine the site? Dahlias as far as the eye can see and as tall as church steeples all to honor an artist. The Dutch are completely obsessed with their dahlias, and well, so are we... Completely enamored. Come in and check the dahlias...imagine building your own flower parade in...
